Family in Flemington: My son has an undetermined genetic condition which results in very low muscle tone among other issues. At eight months he still was not rolling over or sitting. Through Sarah Stangota’s attention and expertise, Connor has learned to roll over and can now sit unsupported.. She does therapy with my son on a regular basis, she gives me easy to do exercises for him to do while she is away, she makes sure I understand everything and she is constantly keeping us updated on his progress while setting new goals for him. Most importantly, she really cares about the progress of my son and my son as an individual. We wouldn’t be where we are today with Connor without her. I just can’t say enough great things about her!
Family in Clinton: Our son had such sensory and behavior issues at school and home, but we were fortunate enough to find Sarah. Her techniques in integrating his sensory and behavior needs has made such a difference in his academic and home life. He is a totally different kid who is finally receiving the right therapies for his unique challenges.
Family in Whitehouse Station: Sarah has been an amazing resource to our family. While we did not need her direct OT services, Sarah was able to formulate a home program for us and refer us to the appropriate professionals we did need. She consulted with us on an as needed basis regarding our son's progress and helped us to modify his home program. Our son is now performing on par with his first grade peers.
Family in Flemington: Every parent thinks his or her child is amazing and I am no different. I was starting to notice however that my son was having some difficulty in school. It wasn’t that he didn’t know the right answers, he did, it just seemed his cutting, drawing, etc wasn’t keeping up to his mental ability. Sarah at Just Kids OT performed an evaluation on him and found that he had some fine motor issues. She started working with him right away and even provided his teacher with activities that could benefit all kids. My son’s written ability is now on par with his verbal ability. I am certain that this will make him much more successful in school in the future. Her intervention will probably keep my son from having bigger issues down the road. She is a true expert.
Family from Three Bridges: My son was five and did not even have a hand dominance when he started working with Sarah. He struggled with writing and would rip up his work in frustration. After only six months with Sarah and the "Handwriting without Tears" program," he is able to write beautifully. Most importantly, his self-confidence has sky-rocketed! Sarah was amazing and we would recommend her to anyone with similar struggles! It was truly life-changing for my son!
